Mistakes

"When you make a mistake, don't look back at it long. Take the reason of the thing into your mind and then look forward. Mistakes are lessons of wisdom. The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power." - Hugh White

If you had a time machine you would go back to the beginning of last week and change at least 1 decision that you made.

It could be an inappropriate remark to an employee, raising your voice to your children or not preparing effectively for a sales meeting.

That’s OK.  It’s called learning and it’s part of this journey.

The key is that when you recognize a mistake – don’t dwell on it.  Learn and go on.

I find it helpful to document the learning in my journal.  Somehow it allows me to put the learning into context and move on.
